²⁰ So ^(A)God was good to the midwives, and ^(B)the people multiplied and became very ^[a]mighty. ²¹ Now it happened that because the midwives ^[b](C)feared God, He ^(D)made ^[c]households for them. ²² And Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “^(E)Every son who is born ^[d]you are to cast into ^(F)the Nile, and every daughter you are to keep alive.”
